Mooring in or near Northampton and Parking

We are looking for a mooring in the vicinity of Northampton. 

We are due to visit a few marinas next month, and will be looking at facilities provided etc. If we choose Northampton Marina which has no parking, is anyone familiar with Midsummer Meadow, how safe vehicles are there long term?

Presumably you are looking at the River Nene only and not  the GU?

Nene is the current plan, but we have no problem being on the GU.

On the GU you have Gayton Marina and Blisworth Marina near by, both have parking.

The only place I'd consider leaving the car overnight near Northampton marina is the multistorey car park opposite the entrance of Beckett's Park. It used to be that residential marina moorers could get a discounted annual ticket for there

That it exactly the car park we are thinking of. £360 for a yearly residential parking ticket whilst moored in the Marina.
