fittie
I have an old, 1920s ish, Klaxet and I wanted to give it a good coat of paint as it has not had one since new. The thing is how to take out all the gubbin's from the cast bit? Cheers and merry Christmas. fittie
Ray T
Any good? Not as harsh as Nitromors. https://www.wikihow.com/Remove-Paint-from-Metal-and-Plastic-Models-with-Dettol
jake_crew
I'd be wary of taking it to bits - I find the adjustment quite sensitive. Google shows some pictures of one with the rear cover off, but the horn seems integral. I find Nitromors fairly mild nowadays since sodium gluconate and methylene chloride have been banned for DIY use. How about elbow grease and wet-n-dry ? Jrtm
To get the workings out you put it in bubble wrap then pack it well into a small box so it dosnt get damaged and send it off to someone who dosnt have one but needs one! Your best best will be to take each part off and photo it or video taking it apart this way you can see where it all goes, after years of working on stuff like this its just take it off and see what happens
