Mushroom vents

Has anyone come up with a way of catching the water that drips from the mushroom vents inside their boats

mine so far is called a duvet as well.

 

it is the former. I was thinking of suspending something like the old style lampshade to catch it.

A good question. Most of my boats have had a few drips from the vents over the years due to condensation. My present boat however doesn't seem to suffer from the problem but it could be due to locations of the shrooms such as not directly over the bed etc?

If the former then lowering the bell helped. If it's condensation, then I can offer little other than have a window open....

Being a boat safety examiner i can tell you people use socks, bra's, T shirts, bar towels and all other things to stuff into them.

Cover the cross bar and central bolt with thin foam glued or cable tied on. Worked for me! Any condensation on the curved surface should run down to the edges and on to the roof.

I have a little pot that is hung from the grille. Catches everything the duvet use to!!!
