Ideal Pram Hood design

OK attempt No 2 to put a piccie of my pram on here.  Simple, very quick to put up or down.  Wouldn't be without it.

Just back from a slow cruise from Swanley Bridge Marina where the engine was commissioned  and the final bit of the electrics dealt with plus BSS  issued and then off to Hesford Marina near Lymm for the sand blasting and painting. So belatedly thanks for the advice. Hood provisionally booked now for next March.

I used to fit canopies for a living and although they can be expensive. The owners usually say its the best purchase they have made.

Instead of PVC or canvas I keep toying with the idea of making a pramhood with a large solar panel for the roof on a frame that slides forwards and down onto the roof of the boat. I just can't get my head around what to make the sides from, Perspex in lightweight detachable frames or just a canvas curtain with clear plastic.

edit to add:- the biggest problem is that a solar panel the full width of the boats roof is going to prevent me from climbing onto the roof from the stern
