Vitreous Flue Pipe?

Featured Posts

Hello all,

anyone used a vitreous flue pipe? Seems to be a commonly used material in houses and is half the price (and weight) of a steel flue.  I can't think of any reason it would be unsafe ~ can anyone else?

Suggestions and advice please.

Thanks

Have known a few people who have tried this type of flue but I think there was an issue with longevity. It would be better if it was heavier.  Part of the problem is the aggressive flue gases produced by a typical NB stove, due in part to the types of fuels burnt
