Mooring in Crick?

Any suggestions on the best spot? A 14 day visitor mooring would be nice, but I don't know if there are any. CRT Boater's Guide is no use and other threads on here talk about problems getting close to the bank.

I struggled getting on the bank after the marina till the pilings after bridge 16..

Bit gloomy up there also, found better moorings spots after yelvertoft marina.

We moored against the pilings by the entrance to Crick marina a few weeks back, no problems getting right in.  I'm not sure whether they were time restricted though as we were only stopping for the shop.

They are unrestricted.

They vary I think some 14 some 48 and if I recall some of the48s are 14 October to March. Depth varies on pillings. We can get in some spots not others  full draft boat.

Thanks everyone. I think that's enough to convince me that we'll find somewhere to moor if we carry on to Crick rather than stopping at Yelvertoft.

Nearly always room opposite Crick Marina. Our favourite spot though is by the winding hole between Yelvertoft and Crick. Only room for a couple of boats but a pleasant walk through a pocket park to Crick village.

About an hours cruise past yelvertoft heading north.

The best moorings are on rings either side of the winding hole just north of the marina, there is a footpath leading directly to the village, otherwise the moorings opposite the marina are fine, they are a bit gloomy south of the bridge though.
