Heartland
There have been reports of lock beams being sawn off on the locks up to Birchills (from the Walsall Canal). If this is the case then it is either a sad act of vandalism, or more seriously people choosing to prevent the passage of boats. Has any body encountered this issue? Heartland
Thanks for the link to the General Boating page. The subject remains also a waterways news topic as this is not a case of troglodytes scrawling their tribal inscriptions on the canal side or residents dumping rubbish because the bin men are on strike. There is a more sinister purpose, which requires CRT action, in my opinion.
BEngo
CRT action is an oxymoron. IMHO. N Edited August 11, 2017 by BEngo speeling
Heartland
That IS an interesting observation Canal and River Trust and action. Following what an oxymoron is then CRT and Action combined together could imply a conflict in meaning such as Friendly Foe. I wonder if.........
