This thread reminded me of some, less than charitable, comments recorded on my dash cam about a bunch of Lydra Loonies cyclists on the lane to the house. Ho. Hum.

Whatever the rights and wrongs there is no way I would dare take a kayak over the Ponypuddleduct for all the cheap electronics in China. I don't do heights.

Watched a chap go over on one of those stand on paddle boards things once, now that I wouldn't do

It is actually harder to fall off the aqueduct from a kayak then it is from a narrowboat

Yea.. But.. And as for what Tree M. saw.  NO! NO!  Even a trad stern boat made me 'uncomfortable'.  As for a boozer stern.....

I used to go over a lot and became very blasé,  walked down the roof many a time, plus sat on the roof on the scary side with legs dangling.

I like to think I helped entertain the tourists :)

Same subject is there any truth in the rumour of canoeists going into Foulridge tunnel (L&L) on the red light and boats having to reverse out ?

That's the one on Facebook.  It does not make sense to me, it is a wide tunnel I think, so why would narrowboats need to reverse out.

video link please.  B)

Unfortunately none are available that I am aware of :)

Apparently there is Japanese news footage of my boat self steering over the bridge, I was having a grumpy day and saw the camera in the field below, so ducked into the cabin until we crossed
