Dory or Punt/ working boat

Hi All.

I've got a friend who works in landscaping.  They need to clean a wall around a lake and asked if I knew where the could get ( pay for) a boat they could work out of.

Needs to be a sort of flat bottomed Dory/punt type thing.  I've seen a few on my travels abandoned in boat yards/ marinas but can't remember where.  Anyone know where there is one for sale or that could be for sale?

Friend is based in Oxfordshire but could obviously collect item.

Any other suggestions would also be welcome... all smart arse replies about my flat bottom will be  ignored ;) .

Thanks in advance

Oxford has a lot of punts, but they'll be busy now in the tourist season. You could try asking say Cherwell Boathouse if they have a suitable one, maybe one that's seen better days, as it only needs to be floating, and if your friend can wait into September/October maybe they can help you?

Sounds like they need what we used to call a 'paint cat' in the navy, which is essentially a raft with a twin barrel hull and a flat working platform on top. Nice and stable to work from, bigger ones happily support scaffolding. Where you'd get one is beyond me, but it might help to know such a thing exists! :)

Near my boat CRT use a flat floating platform for works that consists of about 16 plastic cubes that can be locked together in various configurations and can take scaffolding poles as fencing, but I don't know what it is called. Perhaps they could tell you?

I don't think that is suitable - that damn great pipe is going to get in the way...
