Gas cooker problem - no gas to main oven !

No, he means the electrode (bit of wire) from which the spark comes. It'll be next to the burner. If it's too far from the burner then maybe when the burner lights it can't 'detect' the flame.

It might be part of the "Main oven spark ignition plug" but I don't know. I am assuming your igniter box works like the Alde ones. If so the distance the spark has to jump could be critical.
