There is an advert in our local paper ( Craven Herald) for the sale of the wharf and buildings at Skipton Canal Basin, no price given but rental income is about £ 57,000 which they say shows 8.5% return on the investment

Do you know if it is actually owned by CRT?

I didn't know that they owned any buildings in the middle of Skipton.

Yes they own what was once two canal side warehouses and the stable yard managers house now the pie and mash shop

One of the 'problems' is that there is no guaranteed income, as the company leasing the dock and premises (Pennine Boat Trips) itself has been up for sale for a long, long time due to retirement.

It has been a 'confidential sale' for (probably) well over a year but is now on the open market as the owner needs to retire.

The two boats and SAV (with leasehold premises) along with business 'good-will' is for sale at £595,000.
