cuthound
As a carry-over from cycling days (when I'd cycle to work in temperatures down to -8C!) the best thermals I have found are the merino wool ones. Extremely warm and it doesn't even matter it they get wet since they still keep you warm, because of this I have also used them to good effect in some offshore sailing excursions. Wouldn't be without them:rolleyes:As a slight aside, I once bought a pair of merino wool gloves, called "sealskins" or similar to go boating. Lovely and warm even when wet. All went well until I handled some ropes, whereupon they disintegrated! I now use these, expensive, but up to the job. My pair is over 10 years old and still going strong. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/172345338632?format=1&hlpv=1&cond=1&clk_rvr_id=1104062918579&rmvSB=true&ul_ref=http%253A%252F%252Frover.ebay.com%252Frover%252F1%252F710-53481-19255-0%252F1%253Ficep_item%253D172345338632%2526customid%253DD1ZUGVU2GO%2526campid%253D5337185660%2526icep_ff3%253D2%2526toolid%253D10013%2526ipn%253Dpsmain%2526kwid%253D902099%2526mtid%253D824%2526kw%253Dlg%2526mpre%253Dhttp%25253A%25252F%25252Fwww.ebay.co.uk%25252Fitm%25252Flike%25252F172345338632%25253Fformat%25253D1%252526hlpv%25253D1%252526cond%25253D1%2526srcrot%253D710-53481-19255-0%2526rvr_id%253D1104062918579&format=1&hlpv=1&cond=1&clk_rvr_id=1104062918579&rmvSB=true&ul_ref=http%253A%252F%252Frover.ebay.com%252Frover%252F1%252F710-53481-19255-0%252F1%253Ficep_item%253D172345338632%2526customid%253DD1ZUGVU2GO%2526campid%253D5337185660%2526icep_ff3%253D2%2526toolid%253D10013%2526ipn%253Dpsmain%2526kwid%253D902099%2526mtid%253D824%2526kw%253Dlg%2526mpre%253Dhttp%25253A%25252F%25252Fwww.ebay.co.uk%25252Fitm%25252Flike%25252F172345338632%25253Fformat%25253D1%252526hlpv%25253D1%252526cond%25253D1%2526srcrot%253D710-53481-19255-0%2526rvr_id%253D1104062918579&ul_noapp=true Edited October 3, 2016 by cuthound
