The balance beam has been broken off the bottom gate at Guyers Lock and the lock is inoperable. The canal is closed until further notice.

The lock will be open to narrowboats for an assisted passage from 08:30 to 18:00 daily.

Already closed again due to a boat strike.

This Lock is now open, as the damage was not as severe as first though. The boat has been removed from the lock and the navigation is now open"
