Our pump has been running accidently dry. Possibly for 1-2 hours. It now seems to be leaking slightly. Ive looked at it and I cant identify the part. Its a clear round part where water circulates inside it.

We too have water pump issues at the moment. The installation manual which also includes an exploded view of the pump, list of part numbers and a troubleshooting guide was fairly easy to find via Google. I think it's on the Xylem website. I think ours has some gunk/crud in it. It looks like we need to fit a filter on the inlet...

If it's leaking from where the clear plastic meets the lower black housing, unscrew it and wrap 3/4 turns of ptfe tape around the thread (in the direction it screws on). That should cure it. If not, a replacement is very cheap.

I had some success with a rubber gasket of about the same size of the area I wanted to seal. In my case it was an oil sump pump remover. You can get rubber gaskets in packets of odd sizes.
