magnetman
Would have thought that the bridges would be google-able On 'other items' in ebay they show some Thames Conservancy enamel registration plates... I've got about 150 of those I pulled out with the magnets over the years Hadley bridge http://canalplan.org.uk/cgi-bin/gazetteer.cgi?where=Hadley%20Bridge Rabone Lane bridge http://canalplan.org.uk/cgi-bin/gazetteer.cgi?where=rabone%20lane%20bridge maybe edite to correct wronglink Edited December 14, 2014 by magnetman
RLWP
I would say that is right. They look like they have come off BCN bridges Richard
Laurence Hogg
They are both off the BCN. Rabone lane bridge is in Smethwick, Hadley bridge was on the now lost Hadley branch which went off the Ridgeacre going under the same road twice, the most northerly bridge was Hadley bridge. John Brightley
I hope the seller has reciepts for the purchase of those bridge plates - or some way of proving they're not stolen.

Laurence Hogg
The auctions both went into three figures but there again there were only two bidders having it out!! Silly money!
hecla777
Hadley Bridge is as was described in another post the first bridge where Phoenix Street crosses the canal on the Balls Hill Branch just after the junction at the top of Rider's Green Locks. I think the post by Laurence Hogg referring to the Hadley Branch at the end of the Ridgeacre is mistaken, surely this is the Halford Branch?
