NigelMoore
For a nearly complete set of links on everything to do with the London Assembly Report on moorings, Ian Shacklock has a web page devoted to it [including links to this CWDF topic]. http://www.friendsofregentscanal.org/features/mooring/LA-review-2013/mooring-review.html
carlt
Urban myth, fortunately. If someone asleep is suffocated with a pillow, they will usually wake up and resist/counteract/fight back. Not if I sat on the pillow (though cause of death would probably be crushing, rather than suffocation).

paul68
Or start up a new religion for narrowboaters to worship the canals, then they can't do anything due to political correctness. If all else fails that may not be a bad idea!
Tim Lewis
As a boat owner who has her boat on the London waterways I think Jenny Jones ought to declare a conflict of interest. How can a boater 'investigate' this or have I i) missed the point or ii) not moved with the times. Edited for typos I see in the news that Jenni Jones has just been elevated to the House of Lords, even more reason to keep her on side!
