Water levels on the River Soar?

Ah, the met office has just upped the warnings for today, thursday, friday and saturday

Thursday and then Fridays forecast looks like banging the Midlands straight back into flood.

Your choice, but heading another route may be best.

Friday - Heavy and persistent rain is likely to extend north and west across many eastern, northern and central parts of England and Wales on Friday, reaching much of southern Scotland later in the day. This is likely to lead to surface water flooding, particularly in the Amber area, where there is an increasing likelihood of river flooding. The public should be prepared for disruption to travel and outdoor activities. The rain across central England, East Anglia and southeast England should ease later in the day.

Sileby lock area now flooding, with torrential rain continuing.

There is a boat below the lock tied to bollards which is leaning quite severely, however, there is no access as river is now flowing over the towpath. If it rises much further, it may well get carried onto towpath.

Suprisingly, the EA still has the Soar as Flood Alert only, not Flood Warning, perhaps it has to flood properly before they warn people!!
