Narrowboats & Waterways on YouTube

Featured Posts

After uploading our last little film to YouTube, I have noticed there are loads of films of the inland waterways but most have only had hits into the 100's - not the thousands or tens of thousands. Also many are a bit shaky and grainy.

Aren't there any budding amateur cameramen out there to show eveyone how great our waterways can be?

Do we not use YouTube to show what our holidays and lives are like? or what's going on in the waterway world?

We love YouTube - it's a great place to share information and have some fun!

My favourite clip I've found so far is "The Great Narrowboat Race" -

(2143 views)

The Lancaster Canal Trip is good -

(Only 95 views!!!)

Winter photo's -

(again - only 147 views!!!)

or if you want something that reminds you of sunny days on the River Soar then ours is somewhere on there too...

There are some great little films on youtube featuring the waterways...what's your favourite???

Many of the more recent ones are in HD, and even if I do say so myself, well shot and edited.

This is one of my more favourite narrowboat videos on youtube:

Near Whitchurch, where the boat has to hover waiting for the lift bridge. Just after the bridge, 3rd boat moored on the right, you get a flash of blue, that's me

I'll keep an eye out for it next time I watch that vid
