Screwfix do one called silicone eater. Have used it a couple of times and it has done the trick for me when restoring bathrooms>

Travelled down from Ebstree Lock just above Wombourne down to Stourton Junction and am currently moored at Stourbridge. The section from Botterham Locks to Stourton has been absolutely beautiful. Different to where you are, all trees and dappled sunshine, but wonderful nevertheless. Only wish my camera and laptop combined hadnt thrown one so I could post the photos. Early start up the Stourbridge flight and the Nine Locks to get to Brierley Hill for a concert tomorrow night. Only gripe.......cyclists......have never seen so many, travelling so fast. Wont wait for you to finish what you are doing at locks etc, even had one brush me out of the way with a shoulder charge type manouver,at Greensforge, whilst I was bringing Alice Rose to a halt with the centre rope. Hi all, I am leaving Great Haywood mid week (single handed for the first time)with the intention of being at Brierley Hill sometime on Sunday. Here friends from my local rugby club are joining me to see the tribute band Ultimate Madness at the Thorns Inn and staying on the boat overnight. We have spoken to the landlady of the Thorns who informed us that there are safe moorings around the nine locks but is unsure exactly where . So I was wondering if any of you have ever moored overnight in this area and what experiences you had? Cheers Don PS Just a thought has anyone been to see Ultimate Madness?
