Thanks for the replies, the reason I suggested retrofitting the boiler is that they might not have the budget for the full installation and would probably complete it after the winter.

Hi all, My friend has just got a smallish widebeam (50 X 10) and will be needing a stove, ideally one that can you can retro fit a back boiler to. This would probably be running 2 rads and hot water. Any ideas? Thanks in advance Steve

It's the length that's the issue, here's a 250 scooter on the back of mine a few years ago. I've got a Vespa now, which also fits on the back or on the front. You can fit a bigger bike on, but might have to open both lock gates to avoid losing number plates and mudguards! I've seen an tug style NB with a ducati sports bike on the front deck, but you have to consider getting it on and off.

Never thought of like that, but have had a 'slow to fill' lock turn out to be a not fully closed paddle a few times!

I've been looking at sofas recently and these were my latest find. I think if you want an L shaped sofa on a narrowboat you'll have to have it made yourself. If you do find somewhere that sells one please post a link! Steve
