  1. Has anyone here cycled the Entire Length of the T & M?....I have, and believe me, the state of the towpath in many areas will keep you at a walking pace anyway, outside that, as far as I'm aware, don't all bikes sold have to have a bell installed to them anyway......mine did....

  7. Looking at the Satellite imagery on the viaMichelin site, it's using Bing images, for my part of the universe, dated circa 2007
  8. Just Got back from the Show......plenty of Mud all over...Wellingtons or Walking boots the order of the day..... Good show, even better one watching people trying to "drive" their cars off the car Parks.....
  9. Here's a lot of apps for smartphones that you can try out, Viewranger et al ,that can provide you with OS Map coverage, and trail facilities. There are offerings from Garmin and SatMap, if you want something a bit more robust, waterproof etc...... Me, I use a SatMap Active12 with OS Explorer mapping (All of UK)....
  10. There may be a guy in Stoke (and his wife) who may be able to give you one or two pointers...... They sailed across the channel to France et al..... They also sent their narrowboat to the USA. :-)
