Having never seen the series I am enjoying it very much, not least to see the attractive Ann (Annette Robertson) whom many young (male) viewers fell in love with. Although portrayed as an older teenager I was surprised to discover she was in fact around 27 when she played the role (the same age as Richard O'Callaghan) and had many film roles to her credit before this including Barbara in 'Summer Holiday'

Just a heads up that Virgin Media are changing their network from EE to Vodafone. This is disastrous as my signal dropped from 75% to 50% and impacted streaming films with buffering & drop outs. Experience has shown that Vodafone has the worst service availability while out cruising. Virgin Media 'Customer Service' could not understand why I wouldn't want this 'improvement' - to 5G) as they called it & refused to terminate the contact without a large fee.

I can empathise with that, never a problem until we went exploring the BCN, generally first class.

Well there's a funny thing: The entry for Gordon in Canalplan comes up with a Springer of 38ft ish perhaps its been lengthened, which might explain the newer looking gas locker. Getting back to the OP's original question I believe the "14 mm" end is in fact a 1/4 inch "standpipe" end (verify by measuring the pipe) in which case bes.co.uk list this and other lengths supplied with nut and olive. Hope this is helpful.

That little cleat is the connection for a radio suppressor & is connected to the positive rectifier plate. This photo might help identifying stuff.

Just checking... This cable should go to the warning lamp & the other terminal of the warning lamp to ignition.

We were moored opposite Peels Wharf for a few days this week and there must have been 10 to 15 boats a day trying to use the facilities there and being sent away by the staff there (Manstal Limited) who were telling them to go to Fazeley Mill Marina but not telling them there was a water point near the junction. Some official signage really is needed. I was under the impression that the water point was going to remain but when I queried this with C&RT I received this reply.

The Italian text is not too helpful! The green wire comes from the diode trio (part of the rectifier assembly) Which in turn connects to the regulator via the block marked D+ which is also the warning light connection Hope this clarifies to some degree.
