  1. Live music Friday,Saturday night, real ale. Nothing to do with it but also moor there.
  2. Miss being on my boat,Not been able to go to it for two weeks now and have to wait at least another two weeks before I can put any weight on my ankle. damm
  3. When I was bleeding it, The 8mm bleed screw on the side of the pump kept turning around in the housing. I have been told that cone like shape thing that the bleed screw goes into(wish I had my manual with me so I could give you the correct names for everything) are only pressed in and my one broke up! I did have a old pump that was with the boat when got it so I took the housing off that one and it worked fine for a half an hour then stopped. Since then I have not been able to get it to run.I think when it broke up some fragments must have gone into main body of the pump, So time to change the pump I think.
  4. My injector pump needs changing and I am trying to find the weight of a bmc 1.8 engine and a prm 120 gearbox as it will make it easier to lift them out to work on the pump. Everything is undone anyway as I needed to make and fit a oil tray for under the engine for the boat safety test (mountings undone and prop off to lift so I could get the tray under)so it sould not be too hard.I haved no luck searching the net or this forum and have left my workshop manual on the boat. Thanks in advance for any replys. P.S Anyone know where I buy or hire, borrow the Leyland tool for timing the pump.
  5. The boat is now afloat again.
  6. I know this boat, It was was moored just above the fishery lock on the BW moorings (non towpath side) for the four years at least that I know and has never moved in that time untill the new year.I saw the boat on the day it sunk when I went to use the water point. This is what I was told by another boater who using the the water point at the time, The new owners had towed the boat from its moorings heading towards ricky but had leave it at Apsley as their boat was too small to tow it and was starting to overheat. I was also told that they spent the whole day before it sunk pumping it out and pluging it trying to seal it but that nigth was the nigth that the canal frooze for the frist time and undone their work. This was originaly a wooden butty that was cut in half and has never had a engine. not the one above
  7. Sorry about last post. I will try and book on the January weekend. Thanks for the info
  8. Hi I have in the past had problems bleeding my 1.8 bmc as well. After following the instuctions in the Austin Morris repair manual with no joy I removed the bleed screw on the high pressure banjo bolt on the injection pump (number 5 on the diagram ) while turning over the engine and it started it up straight away. I always had problems bleeding this engine and hope that I do not a head gasket gone after reading the other posts on this problem.
  9. Yeah same boat..... I walked past it today on the way to my boat at Aspley. It's at bridge 151
  10. This one is at Cassio bridge lock 78 and it is my boat (well gutted) trying to arrange pump out! It sunk on the day I was last on it. ( last wensday ) but I only found out yesterday when I went to it to get some thing off it. So now I need some advice as to what I need to do when it's afloat again engine and so on. Thanks ray
