I've walked around that lock many times and have to admit I'm puzzled as to why the child was attempting to cycle across, given there is a perfectly good canal bridge there. It might be simpler to erect a bike- proof /style type barrier down by the bridge as the path only leads to the dry dock.Normal cyclist warning signs should be sufficient to deter others from attempting the crossing!

I've been with Tiscali for years.They have been taken over by Talk Talk and a letter from them yesterday tells me that from Jan 1st my monthly payment will rise from £14.99 to £19.99 which is more than just the increase on VAT. Sharp practice methinks....

It seems to me that BW are missing a chance to raise more revenue.I'm sure that most people would pay a small fee to confirm ownership of a boat they may be purchasing.A sustantial amount of money is often involved!How do brokers ensure the boat they are selling belongs to the seller and is free of finance?And yes,we are planning to buy a boat and join you all after years of hiring!

Hi Folks This is my first post. I'm looking at 2 boats on the K&A having seen them advertised on Apollo Duck as private advertisers. Is there a way to check ownership? Would BW confirm who holds the licence ? As I'm sure people will appreciate it's a lot of dosh to part with! I know I!'m being a questioning old bat!
