  1. Had a flooded hull myself, plywood floors though so it all dried up no problem and no smell. Possibly heading your way, well getting off the Llangollen canal between next fri and Monday, so if we're near we could have A look if you would like, have a wet vaccum as well. Rick.
  2. Sounds good to me, tell him not to rush up to Llangollen too early on Sunday morning. If he sets off at 8am from chirk bank and takes his time, he'll miss the sunday morning narrowboat race leaving Llangollen and therefore avoid meeting the majority in the narrows. Rick.
  3. We survived perfectly well for two years just using the calorifier, had an immersion but no hook up. If I was running the genny for something else then I would put the immersion on or otherwise just ran the engine when hot water was required. Have a hook up now and only run the engine to propel the boat, which is great.

    Solar Panel

Correct Tony thanks for pointing that out.

    Solar Panel

Check your handbook but I think the steca has a resettable fuse feature and therefore requires no fuse.
  6. Well I'd have gone and joined in, and then in the morning helped clear the mess up, nought like a good party.
  7. Our old detector kept going off, so we bought a Fire angel which also kept going off. Anyway it turned out to be the batteries gassing, I moved the detector near to the batteries and when on a hard charge over 14.4v it would go off everytime. Vent the batteries to the outside.

    Urinal

I've just had a pee in the canal, didn't need a urinal just opened the side hatches, well it is snowing. Can't see a problem with it myself. More of a problem round here is people picking up dog crap bagging it and chucking it in the canal and the hedges I'd rather they just left it to rot than go to all that effort.
  9. Yeah Bob we're cool, hope your both ok. We're well frozen in, and I've just been to see Carol and Trev, I walked(jumped up and down coz I'm stupid) on the ice by your boat, not even a crack. I'm sure I had a piccy of your boat but I can't find it now.
  10. Just got in from work and it's -15 outside, I'm always telling people that the canal don't freeze here because it flows to fast (Pontycysyllte end of the Llangollen), well it's frozen solid.

    Recycling

We do, it's called rustic mash, love it.
  12. Has it still got the bend in the end? If so it just needs re-attaching, lift circular griddle part up and turn on it's side you will hopefully see the hole in which to insert the push/pull rod and all will become apparant.
  13. Phone cam and failing low light conditions. http://www.flickr.com/photos/44473072@N03/4096034982/ A few inches of water left in it still.
  14. It's not leaking, t'was a joke, they've pulled the plug out to drain it. I'll see if I can get a picture but the light is very poor today. Off to get the bike out. I'll post it on the other thread.
