  2. Be careful you don't upset the poor little lamb or we will have to suffer another of their pathetic ‘woe is me’ threads! 🙄🙄
  3. And Typically, the forum clique jump in to defend one of their own! 🙄 Just why do people have the need to post on for sale threads if they have no interest in actual buying the item? MtB regularly does it, I presume in a pathetic need to prove his knowledge / experience to all. He posted a smartarse comment on one of my threads when I was selling an Epping stove a few years ago, soon buggered off tho when he got a knowledgable answer back that stopped his cleverdick attitude dead! 🙄 Grow the f*** up man and let people sell their stuff!🙄
  4. Lincoln diesels have always come up trumps for anything for my 2YDA Kris.👍
  5. Wango Lane bridge no9 out of order until tomorrow lunch time at the earliest…Thats my booked slot into docks missed tomorrow.
  6. I’m booked in 11 May until 18 May, different entry / exit times will be in operation as below… *************************************************************************************************** We are contacting all those with a booking to enter and exit Salthouse Dock via the Liverpool Canal Link between Friday 5 May and Saturday 13 May 2023. The Trust have been conversing with the Home Office in relation to keeping the Salthouse Dock & Liverpool Canal Link open to our customers during the time in which Liverpool will host the Eurovision contest. Initially, the Home Office wanted the Trust to cancel all bookings to help ensure the area is secure, however we appealed this and have come to a mutual agreement in order to keep the Link & Salthouse Dock open during this period. ‘Eurovillage’ will be based at the Pier Head for the duration of the event and 15k visitors are expected on the site every day (ticketed event). The area will be a secure area (with bag searches etc) due to any potential security threat. In addition to other security checks, the Police will be carrying out sonar searches of the canal, twice daily, for any objects that may have been placed in the water or in the tunnels. Due to this, from Friday 5th May until, and inclusive of, Saturday 13th May 2023*, the Liverpool Canal Link must be clear of boats by 12pm (midday) and times to exit and enter Liverpool South Docks via the Link have been amended: • All boats leaving via the Liverpool Canal Link must be at Mann Island for no later than 8am. • All boats entering via the Liverpool Canal Link need to be at the top of Stanley Lock Flight for 10am. Should you fail to meet this deadline, you will be denied access and will need to wait until the following morning for access. Due to high demand, a refund will not be given on the nights you have missed. Please note, there are no passages on Tuesdays. This will allow all boats to transit the Liverpool Canal Link and be past the Pier Head by 12pm (midday). *Please note the exception of the Saturday 6 May: These customers have been contacted direct. Due to The Coronation of His Majesty The King being shown at Pier Head, all customers must enter the Link by 9am, please be at the top of the Stanley Lock Flight by 8.30am. These timings are non-negotiable and is on instruction by the Home Office to ensure the safety of all and allow us to keep this mooring opportunity open at such an eventful time. ****************************************************************************************************
  7. Old thread I know, saw these barge lists on a local page and thought they may be of some interest.. (apologies….do not know how to post images on here!) https://i.ibb.co/fXMgW64/CC7-D68-DB-44-F2-4303-A3-F3-968-CF2-A463-D2.png https://i.ibb.co/Gtp7qWf/93-F11384-E993-4-C2-D-A9-DC-9184-F7139529.png https://i.ibb.co/rGrcxCg/62-D1-FB97-1746-4-EC3-B65-E-AABD02-B61859.png

  9. I used to play as a child on the scrap workboats moored in a line outside Mayors Yard circa 1978-80 ish, my first trip up the branch was 1999 from Douglas Boatyard after a rear engine fitout & blacking there, that slipway into the Douglas on a 40ft narrowboat was terrifying! 😱 Trip up the branch was really hard with weed and knackered locks, soo much better now since the link has brought in traffic👍
  10. Shallow waters, maximum draught warning.
  11. They use W Bus signalling for turning on etc, a Webasto 1533 timer provides this amongst others, or theres W Bus boxes on ebay that do the job. I use this method via a switched relay to an app on my phone so I can fire it up whenever I want remotely, hassle free for 2 years now!

  15. Video clip of Happier days on Mill Lane Wharf, May’18…🙂
  16. Talking to a well established local canal trader today, was informed that all 5 boats were seized and loaded on wagons with serious police and bailiffs in a attendance. As well as Wyre & Mersey, Equus, Wendy Woo and A.N other were all taken!
  17. Heard it on good authority this evening that both Wye and Mersey were removed by CRT for non payment of licences, they were seen being towed to Silcox yard by contractor tugs, the narrowboats have moved, where to nobody knows!
  18. apologies for delay in getting back to you, but their perminent mooring seems to have gone, 5 boats normally there, can only presume a new owner of the house? Im moored in Burscough now so if I hear anything Ill post up here.
  19. Dont ask what he stores in boxes on his rear deck nowadays!🤢🤮🤮
