  1. No, just chucked 4 ltr into the tank in frustration. It seems it just needs some, not fussy how much.
  2. Just a quick update, it's been about 6 weeks with no problems. Simple answer was it didn't like diesel at 100%. Now I chuck in 4 ltr kerosene per 20ltr fillup and all is well.
  3. Im using it in a system where a webasto heats water. A 50:50 Kerosene/Diesel mix seems to be the only way I can get it to work without smoking like a James Bond stunt.
  4. Application of Regulations 2.—(1) Subject to paragraph (2), these Regulations apply to the storage of oil on any premises. (2) These Regulations do not apply to the storage of oil— (a)if the oil is waste oil within the meaning of regulation 1(3) of the Waste Management Licensing Regulations 1994(2); (b)in any container which is situated in a building or wholly underground; (c)in any container with a storage capacity of 200 litres or less; (d)on any premises used— (i)wholly or mainly as a private dwelling if the storage capacity of the container in which it is stored is 3500 litres or less; (ii)for refining oil; or (iii)for the onward distribution of oil to other places; or (e)on any farm if the oil is for use in connection with agriculture within the meaning of the Agriculture Act 1947(3).
  5. It doesn't need to be 205ltr, I just need to it run a Webasto burner. 100/150ltr would be sufficient for a few months usage. If its anywhere near Manchester I can even collect. Plus any barrel will be in my garage so I think that counts as within a building. If that's the case the regulations don't apply.
  6. I'm looking for 205ltr drum of Kerosene. Does anybody know a good place who delivers?
  7. I have it booked in for a bench test next week. Hoping for some answers then.
  8. It's running but it's not right. It's still smoking and the fan isn't stepping up to that last level of speed, no tune playing in the exhaust.
  9. Every single day! We have paraffin, we gave ignition, we have heat but we have no smoke!
  10. Batteries fully charged this morning and unit won't start without smoke. Last night I tried plugging in charger and powering up unit and it made no difference.
  11. How do I get at them? The wires are sheated and I can't see what goes where. Might have to pop it out over the weekend. Do they just pull out of the unit or are they screwed in?
  12. It's white supermarket diesel. Not working today, smoke from the off. Looks like something out of James Bond.
  13. I was thinking that, they are not that heavy duty. Another issue is that the leads on the charger are long, about 2 meters. That cant be great either.
