Okay this is all great to know, thanks all. I might look into Hartford marina, but it looks like Cathedral has space and gets a valued Scholar Gypsy approval...

I'm hoping not to have to buy a car as well - but Earith sounds good if the buses work out. I forgot about the controversial guided bus... thank you. Still concerned about Cathedral Marina. It has such mixed reviews. Does anyone have any experience of it other than @Scholar Gypsy?

Hi all! I've finally made the jump and invested in a lovely 60' cruiser. I'll move aboard in September, and need to get her to around Ely - I have a new job in Cambridge. I'm looking for a mooring nearby, with easy access to the train station. Bridge Boatyard don't have any space, and I've heard very mixed things about Cathedral Marina. They're also asking for a large lump sum up front and a year's contract, which is a bit intimidating. Does anyone have any advice (or opinions about Cathedral)? Cheers!
