  1. I'm hoping this is correct. It's just odd that it's only just been coming on recently. We have a light on the outside of the fridge already. This seems okay. And our batteries are almost 100%. So if you are right then it could be that a connection have caused a problem? I really have no clue. But if our batteries are tip top and our 12V system is working fine (With no sound of lag when we use the shower pump) then could this be something else? Gladly we don't have one! haha! That would be a major PITA! You're going to give me nightmares. This isn't based on anything you know about is it? I don't want to rip up all of my wooden floorboards for nothing.
  2. So, as the title suggests. I have a really weird problem. There are these two LED lights in my kitchen, foot level, that I have tried (Numerous times) to turn on and they never have! I thought they were for decoration, but now I'm worried they are a warning light. They are somehow to do with the 12v system as there's a switch (That turns our water pump on) under the drainage area which also turns this light off. The light suddenly turned on the other day and keeps occasionally turning on. It's now on permanently... The other one, to the left of it, is not on still. So I have no idea what that is for either! I have attached pics for reference. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jamie (On WALT)
  3. Hey guys, I took it apart again and put it back together after checking the fuel line and the connections and it's working perfectly. PHew! Thanks for the help.
  4. I mixed up my message a bit there, sorry. I'm not too broke to buy a gasket, I'm too broke to pay someone £100 to fix it so I'm trying to do it myself. The only reason I reused a gasket is because I'm in the middle of nowhere and don't have a new one or any gasket sealant. Thanks for the advice, I think the issues I've been having are very different. I will definitely try the fuel amount test. And I'll check everything else, but the noise sounds BAD! Really loud... It's like it's out of control.
  5. Hello everyone, I have attempted to fix my webasto Thermotop C, and I thought I had managed it. However, there's still a problem. I am pretty broke so would really appreciate any input on how I can fix it as I can't really afford to get a new one, or someone to fix it professionally. I just gave it a full service and cleaned the combustion chamber, but the problem still persists. What happens is: I turn the heater on, it seems to be working fine for about two minutes, then it goes into extreme overdrive. It squeals as loud as it possibly can and won't shut up until about a minute after I turn it off. I was wondering whether it was the gasket as I had to use the same gasket after servicing. It's broken in pieces but I arrange it back in it's place until I can get to a marina and buy another. Thanks ever so much for reading, hopefully I can get this fixed as a new one is a fortune. Regards, Jamie
  6. Aha, thanks. I was beginning to wonder this. Is it something I would need to install before my next BSS or is this something that is just not needed?
  7. Hey guys, I'm stuck! I have a Liverpool Boat from 2005 with an Isuzu Marine 35. I am so confused, I've been looking for the agglomerator for months, every now and again I go and take another look. It doesn't seem to be on the primary or secondary fuel filter and I can't see a tap or bolt that would be for this either. The filters are solid, no catch on the bottom. Could someone possibly tell me what I am missing. I'm not great with engines and I'm scared to mess this up. Cheers, Jamie
  8. Hey guys, read all your posts. Really helpful, thanks ever so much for getting back so quickly. This is all going to help me so much in the next couple of weeks. I have been checking apolloduck every day for the past six month so I'm definitely not discounting it. I just worry about handing over 50k to a private seller. But as a lot of you pointed out there could actually be less risk doing it this way. Also, abnb is one of the brokers we have visited and they were fantastic on our trips out. Those guys and trine, who works at braunston, have been really helpful. Really helpful, thanks again.
  9. Hi all, this is my first post so please be gentle. Me and my girlfriend are about to buy a narrowboat. we know wat we are after but don't know which brokers to trust. Over the past year we have visited many of the well known ones and we sort of understand how it all works. But we have heard about horror stories! Can anybody give us advice on who is the least likely to take us for a ride and who we need to avoid. We know we want to go with a broker as we don't want all the admin and potential risk, but we don't know who to trust. I might be being a little paranoid, if so then tell me that! Haha. Any other advice about brokers would be extremely helpful. Thanks everyone. Jamie
