  1. Is it necessary to have the loop after the last rad. Wouldn't the flow just go round the loop as it is the easiest route and bypass the last rad?
  2. This post cannot be displayed because it is in a forum which requires at least 10 posts to view.
  3. Can a bow locker water tank really hold 300 gallons?
  4. Now you're just being silly Jim. Surely nobody would abuse the NHS. I thought we already had a lot of sh!t boats on the system.
  5. Was it pumped out and rinsed before disconnecting. Be careful with caustic soda. It can burn quite badly.
  6. Yes, if there was a surplus of unsold new shells it would certainly slow production down. I just didn't understand why used prices rising would have slowed new shell building down. Maybe I am not getting it.
  7. I don't understand what you mean Neil. Surely as prices for used boats get higher, it would make a new shell more attractive, especially if the cost for new shells had not kept up with inflated prices. Could you elaborate?
  8. Possibly done by the same folks who dump oil and boat rubbish in the hedgerows or by bridges for someone else to clear up. Possibly the same folks who might empty a cassette in the bushes to save a trip to the elsan. There are bad apples in every barrel Mike. Your view is blinkered. I see no cons with using a compost toilet system as it is intended to be used. Obviously a slightly blinkered view as well, as I don't have one yet.
  9. I bet he watched a lot of Blue Peter as a child, and has a compost loo.
  10. And a scrap merchants by the look of it.
  11. You missed this one DC. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Genuine-Boginabag-Refill-Pack-Bags/dp/B0085JPFEE/ref=cts_sp_1_vtp?pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_p=1212178027&pf_rd_r=HTZS0SQNE7EFFKHD8Y2G&pd_rd_wg=q0wHT&pf_rd_s=desktop-detail-softlines&pf_rd_t=40701&pd_rd_i=B0085JPFEE&pd_rd_w=fuVcu&pf_rd_i=desktop-detail-softlines&pd_rd_r=HTZS0SQNE7EFFKHD8Y2G&_encoding=UTF8
  12. See, we are not mad after all. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2017/aug/25/not-crap-turn-faeces-urine-treasure-astronauts-recycle-bodily-waste?CMP=share_btn_fb
  13. Looking at where it was left and how carefully it was placed, I would have suspected that this was the reason behind it too.
  14. Where do you mount it, or do you just keep it to hand.
  15. Why is there an assumption that anyone who CC's has no spare room on their boat. Plenty of CC'ers are single with decent sized boats.
  16. Hardly dumped. Its very nicely chocked. You would have thought someone would have noticed though.
  17. Well can you start using more colourful bags. Christmas is coming.
  18. Well that's not so bad then. I imagine there are poo bins at most locks and bridges so you wouldn't have to travel far to find one. Hopefully they don't get abused like they do here and get emptied regularly. My hound leaves a large deposit at least 3 times a day, so it would mount up quickly if I couldn't find a disposal point.
  19. Not a bad idea if they were plentiful on the cut. But on a more serious note, how do dog owners deal with their daily collections of poo bags when boating?
  20. Does the sparking ever stop? Does it stop when you turn all the gas burners off or does it continue until you cut the power? Its not something as simple as a sticky igniter button is it?
  21. Ok that makes sense. This is just a random thought, but as a work around maybe Martin could light the oven as normal and then light one of the hobs for a few seconds. Just maybe the impulse needed to turn off the igniter will be produced from the burner on the hob. If the clicking stops, turn off the unwanted burner.
