  2. Mmmm my controller is not fixed to steelwork but a non flammable surface, does it need grounding because it's not fixed to the steelwork, sry if I'm going on getting anxious lol , ?

Thanks for info ,I am aware of the necessary cable size and inline fuse's on the positive cables ,my controller is not fixed to any steelwork,but has the fixture for earthing with minimum 10 mm cable like the cable's between controller and battery bank ,thanks again much appreciated.   5. Hi all we purchased some solar panel's and mppt controller,but am wondering where to earth it ? We have 240v sockets nearby I was considering using that as my earthing point or the hull,any advice appreciated and thanks in advance?. Steve
  6. Hello , we have just put deposit on our 1st nb , 70foot we intend starting off on the huddersfield narrow will the locks take this length as I read on the crt site it is ok but will need to wind and retrace ourselves ,thanks in advance for any information :=) steve

Walking upto scout tunnel on the huddersfield narrow canal and was wondering what these pieces of what look like lengths of telegraph poles placed in the bed of the canal.will put picture up when I learn how to , this is my 1st post so hi everyone and can I say the forums supply a lot of info.cheers steve
