  4. So I am assuming, and yes I know about assuming, the spotters haven't been tutored in the use of world bing AI, as in: It's a green Narrow boat, with portals, on a canal @ xxxxx location, give me the name of the owner, the index number, the year it was made, the engine type and serial number, home mooring, the journey plan for it's last trip, do they have large scary dogs on board, when was the last time the toilet cassette was emptied. And as if, by magic, response: your device can not connect to the servicer, please try resetting your IP address and re- enter the request again. AI's for me for sure!

  9. So my claim to dumbness, arrived at Marina late at night, desperate to get everything out of car into boat and sorted, bags on each arm, carrying two sets of keys, then numbnuts tries to underdo catch zip, without putting any thing down, how's that ever going to work and it didn't, both sets of keys, found their way through the decking and into cold and darkness, as they do, eventually saved by magnet fishing. I now have a lanyard!!!!!
  10. I purchased the Thetford C2 freshen up kit with cassette wheels for my C2 unit, it works fine, cassette wheels not great for off-roading !

  17. Mike I was trying, and Cleary failing to use Irony, as in: irony NOUN the expression of one's meaning by using language that normally signifies the opposite, typically for humorous or emphatic effect Only worked inside my head perhaps
  18. Great point, and when you think of ALL the additional costs of two boats, twice the Licence fees, Insurance, BSS, servicing etc !!!
  19. The OP post made a request for a local contact number for a Webasto engineer, alternatively a suggestion for a resource who could provide a service to investigate and potentially fix the issue, Overwater have mobile engineers' and therefore could be a practical solution. I don't understand how your response helps provide a solution to getting a Webasto issue sorted please explain
  20. Hi Martin, If you don't manage to make progress with Mick Bradwell, Overwater Marin, just down the road, sos to speak, are authorised Webasto service centre I believe.
  21. The HNC currently has significant CRT maintenance work in progress at lock 26, just above Slaithwaite, it looks like replacement of gates, or work on the lock walls, they also have a dredger and a work boat on site. The water levels are looking good at Spath Reservoir and the pounds up to Marden, for the first time in a few months. I haven't seen any boats moving on the HNC for a while, I walk this stretch of the canal several times a week, feel free to PM me if anybody would like an update.
  22. We moor close to Audlem, The Bridge food is fine, pub is friendly, and the prices are reasonable, the chippy is great, our meal on Friday night got 10/10 from us both, you will need to be mega hungry to eat even a portion of small chips.
