There is a rod running through the fuel pumps on the side of the engine, this connects them with the govenor. Pull this rod backwards to cut the fuel and stop the engine. A linkage can be fitted so this can be pulled remotely from your steering position

I've replaced the head gasket on my petter engine but the manual I got with the boat doesn't give torque settings for the head nuts (or any other nuts). Does anyone know where to find these? The engine is an early one with the copper asbestos gasket. Thanks! Alec
