  1. Not the best photo, but Michael made me this Chimney and set of exhaust pipes.
  2. Speak to Michael Pinnock (PM me for his number) proper stainless steel riveted chimneys.
  3. I'd ignore that rudder as an example Alan, it's no good. It was done by another yard and we've now replaced it.
  4. This post cannot be displayed because it is in a forum which requires at least 10 posts to view.
  5. Moor at Cuckoo Wharf then head to Villa Park to watch a decent team. :-)
  6. Laurence, what remains of the Gilpins Arm? The only thing I have ever noticed is the stone plaques on the cottages on Norton Road.
  7. The building was used as a canoe club years ago. It should be possible to get a vehicle across the bridge, but the access is across common land. Lovely little building on what I think is the prettiest part of the BCN.
  8. There's a small park on the Soho Loop.
  9. Dave, Someone once tried to tell me that Resolute was a Denis Cooper...
  10. I'll start, here's a spot of Tiggers, FadetoScarlet and BlackIbis. Verbena - Braunston Historic Boats 2013 by imulford, on Flickr
  11. Laurel was owned for many years by Alan Smith, who died recently. I also believe Alan owned the rights to the Fellows Morton and Clayton name. His son Paul owns ABNB.
  12. As long as I can remember Braunston has always been the last weekend in June.
  13. Lamprey will be somewhere near the junction or down the Cannock Extension with the other historic boats. I'm leaving mine after work on Friday, going down to Catshill to wind (via Tesco for liquid ballast) and then back to Pelsall.
  14. This happened to me when I tried it for the first time, I found that the best thing to do is bush the scumble on then immediately wipe it off again with a rag, then brush the scumble back on and grain. Worked for me.
  15. I had an e-mail from Dave on 30th May thanking me for booking my boat in and giving some general details for the weekend. I had an e-mail from Dave on 30th May thanking me for booking my boat in and giving some general details for the weekend.
  16. A modern boat built to 6'10" with vertical sides will have no problems at all assuming that they're built straight! That's how we build them. Most canals were built to accommodate boats that are over 7' wide and there are many working boats at this width that have no problem whatsoever.
  17. I'm not sure bow hauling would be within the rules whilst taking a break? And I hope you slowed down as you passed Lamprey!
  18. We've had an enforced 30 minute break as we've broken down.
  19. Canis Major is now in place, though we seem to have decided on the same starting point as Muskrat. 8am may be interesting...
  20. We've got a late entry...Team Canis Major. The team is made up of myself, Tiggers and two none forum members, Tim and Jon. Jon runs Great Haywood Marine Services and Tim is joining us late on Saturday after he has attended a beer festival. The team only came together this afternoon, so we're in for a coupe of days of serious route planning.
  21. I'm glad you've asked this. I was looking for black gloss high temp paint today, but could only find matt.
  22. Josher with a forecabin. From looking at the name panel it may say Perch?
  23. I used an electric carving knife, it cut through the mattress very easily and neatly.
