  1. Yes it came out in one piecebut was very worn, the engine is in my friends in scotland but will be picking it up in the next few weeks! The water did start to flow better afyer running for hour or so but not constant,it should have a 8mm copper outlet pipe but this i removed that and joined a hose pipe to reach the outside drain! I wonder if i conect the 8mm back up will the it be more constant?
  2. No not yet in a the boat but it is a marine, last week i replaced the jabsco water pump and when i open the drain tap the water is pumping very nice but just dose not get through the block the same way its just spitting out and very steamy! A friend who helped me get it running seems to think has back preasure but didnt say why! I was thinking of trying some water flush as the engine has been sat in a friends garage for 5 years
  3. It will only start with easystart but when started runs fine, and when warm starts without, the smoke is white/blue on tickover but when i open it up eventually runs clear. Its water cooled and for some resan there is a lot ov steam comeing out of the water outlet and the water just spits rather than being a constant suply like a tap? Unsure if should be like a tap?

  8. I have read about this product and have ordered a bottle off eBay. It says to add a bottle of oil and run for 8 hours? this is the advert Restore engine restorer and lubricant is a unique engine additive that repairs those worn out areas in the cylinder wall thereby restoring cylinder compression and improving engine performance to nearly new original condition. RESTORE is the only product that contains the proprietary CSL formula. This technologically advanced formulation fills in and seals micro leaks in the cylinder wall. the result is increased engine compression and more engine power. Independent lab tests prove that RESTORE really works to increase cylinder compression. Has anyone seen the outcome of this product? Thanks.
  9. I have recently bought a Petter PH2 W that i intend to fit into my narrowboat. I have got the engine running, but cannot seem to find a cut off lever anywhere. Does anyone know if there was one fitted to this model and if so whereabout can i find it? Thanks.
  10. I have recently bought a Lister Petter PH2 W that i intend to fit into my Narrowboat. The engine seems to have a lot of back pressure and is very smokey on tick over. I am thinking of using engine restore. Does anyone have any feedback if this works? Thanks.
