  1. On the day I'd untie and be gone, without a word, My concern would be if you wanted another marina nearby you could be judged ( I'm sure wrongly) as the problem / trouble maker
  2. Some berths are pre allocated as residential. I think Gayton has about 6 I'm sure this will be fine with the high usage uplift. It's exactly what we did and had no problems 👍😁
  3. From the description. NOTE: 1. This water heater can only be installed in an outdoor ventilated place, and it is strictly forbidden to use it in a confined space.
  4. Great news, thanks for letting us know 😀
  5. I thought the pub in Yelvertoft was long gone?
  6. Corby Covers Ltd if you have a car. Or you could try Alan and Nicky called Star Crafts. Canal Traders currently at Fenny Stratford then I believe heading North. You may be able to arrange a convenient meeting point?
  7. Historically it was a no way would you moor in the flight, recently there have been issues with travellers and paddles being deliberately raised to drain pounds and some of the shorter pounds leak and self drain. Having said that we often pass the odd moored boat who seem ok and haven't heard of any issues. The most common mooring spot being between Lock 13 and 14 near some newish housing. Also some boats moor just above Lock 17. For us its £10 a night in Northampton Marina or Gayton Junction
  8. Does this help. Not the same model but the levers etc. look the same! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fRI1bgzvmKw

  10. This made me chuckle. From an article he wrote for Canal Boat Magazine. May 2019. "Now let me spell this out for fear there should be any ambiguity. There is NO place for rudeness on the canal, there is NO place for canal rage, NO place for bad language. All this we would agree on. But there should be NO place for entitlement either. It doesn't matter how big your boat is, how much it cost you, how many decades you've been on the cut and how much more you know about canals than anyone else. Once you are afloat you are part of an egalitarian community in which, whoever you are, you have a right to the same treatment and respect as anyone else. And this means you have the responsibility to treat them as you'd wish to be treated."
  11. I had an leak from exactly the same place. All that was required was tightening up. It was a bit fiddly to get spanner on.
  12. You could, but the banks are quite high and overgrown. It would be too noisy for me thou. I agree about the 48hr moorings near citrus training. Then follow the old railway line back along the river then up into Higham....Fair old walk though ?
  13. It says "Conforms to RYA CE specs and has associated manual and paperwork. Boat was dry docked in Sept 2015, New BSS Examination was carried out (next due Sept 2019)" Is that the same as the RCD?
  14. Appreciate your thoughts! Might delve a little deeper and go and have a look. Its not too far from us so I can at least make a riverside walk out of it / visit to Oundle
