  2. They seem to have gone up to £20 Now .Also several different suppliers seem to use the same reviews word for word .
  3. This post cannot be displayed because it is in a forum which requires at least 10 posts to view.
  4. The figures for the domestic cylinders are grade 1 3.65 bar , grade 2 2.2 bar ,grade 3 1.45 bar
  5. When you say it took 3 hours to clean off was that the grit blasted area ,did you have to use a solvent to clean it or it ok to paint straight over after being blown off .How clean is the area that has been blasted .
  6. Some of the Mira flight trays are a little deeper they do the low types and standard ones .Joe
  7. Yes there is a mooring available , I have moved off it because it became difficult get onto the boat as the landing stage was washed away in the floods, also that part of the river Wey has become quite silted up, again due to the floods If you still interested I will give you the telephone number . If you look back on some of my previous posts will see pictures of the flooding .Joe
  8. I have been using Craftinsure for several years & did have to claim last year , which they handled very promptly even though it took some time to finalise due to the floods ,this was not due to anything they could have done different . Joe
  9. Are you sure the fans facing the right way .
  10. I'm not sure what your seeing the price I see is £79.00
  11. Just to let every one know the boat did not float off into the sunset in the second lot of floods & all is well now ,And to thank every one for the helpful advice you gave me ,My insurance was with Craft insure and they also were really helpful .I would recommend them ,obviously Joe
  12. The boat back in finally ,mixed feelings because the river is in flood just hoping it doesn't rise much more & come back over the bank,it was started afternoon 31st & put in yesterday by today the river has risen about 1/2 metre . the guys who did it have used a spring from the stern to front mooring post to hold it away from the bank ,also my anchor . Joe
  13. I have not done a runner.,I will update you when something does happen still waiting on the insurance company & theyre waiting on the flood receding .although the river has gone down the flow is still quite fast.
  14. How far did you wade. at the hight of the flood it was flooded up to 3/4 of a mile away obviously not as deep , the police & fire brigade were stopping people going down there on boxing day there as it was so dangerous .I wouldn't have got in a dinghy either, that garden use to be an island when it flooded it diverted a lot of the flow across the garden that is what pushed my boat over .you own a dinghy & live on your boat maybe if it was my home I would have risked it .Anyway its all academic now. I still don't think that I would have stayed on the boat ,its a hobby not an extreme sport . I have been back there today and sealed up the engine bay I have managed to leave a small pump connected down there so I can pump out if any gets in through the seal.if it does lap over I can just connect the pump to see if it is holding the water back .
  15. Really do apreciate all the information you & everybody has contributed to this thread it may seem that I am being complacent but I have been checking the boat at least twice a day I am there at sunrise and stay there a couple of hours monitoring the situation ,I didn't explain what I was thinking when I said it wouldn't flood what I was thinking at the time I dont think it will flood to the degree it just has & make it impossible to get on site I do believe at one point the water was over 1.2 metres above the bank .
  16. I really don't think the Wey will flood that much again besides they have managed to open all the sluices now ,.they have said they will cover any problems found after the refloat ,they will leave the claim open until I am satisfied.all sounds good ,but that is the assessor talking the insurance company have still to ok it .I am a pessimist so am hoping it all goes to plan.
  17. I spoke to the assessor /surveyor this morning he is talking about bringing a tug with a crane up to help slide it in .when the weather eases .basically he's saying leave it up to him once its floated they will replace the battery then leave me to dry the electrics out run the engine & check that the electric hydraulic valve is ok as that was under the water before we pumed it out ,a junction box with a lot of wires going to it was under water to .
  18. I have been there today sealing up the holes in the side that is in the river with the help of Andy who owns Cristopher James and was very grateful as without to use of his tug we would have been unable to reach the vents ,I think we have managed to do as much as we can. We had to pump out some water out of the engine bay before we sealed it I found an extra hole I had forgotten about I don't think Andy was to impressed with the idea of snatching the boat & moving a bit at a time with his lovely wooden Tug . There is still a lot of flow at the moment and they seem to be dropping it quite low probably because of all the rain expected I am meeting the assessor at the boat tomorrow morning .
  19. A few pictures taken this morning .
  20. Not sure but I think the fear has gone up a notch or two looking at that . I am not so depressed about it this morning it could have been much worse ,it could have broke free & done so much damage ,no ones got injured . The people living round there its there homes that are damaged I feel sorry for them .Mind you I am just going to check it as soon as its daylight ,then the depression could be back if it has tipped or something .Once again thanks for all the suggestions .Joe
  21. I will suggest some of these ideas to the surveyer & see what he comes up with.as well as obviously if I totaly ignore him and it go wrong I can see them not being interested it is a good bit deeper than a canal .This is the access to th mooring
  22. Would that be possible with the 3ft drop into the river normally, I think the width is nearer 40ft In the winter maybe 2 boats all winter one of them moors next to me .
  23. Part of it is overhanging the river really not to sure how much I will be able to see much more tomorrow as the whole level continues to fall . as some of the ground is made up of very soft ground so felt very wary of walking very near the stern . There is no vehicle access opposite more or less a jungle it council owned I believe
  24. The trouble is once the flood had started the road down to the mooring quickly became flooded and by the time I learnt that there was any kind of problem I really had only a couple of hours to do anything only now it is all over I know should have reacted so much quicker than I did I finally managed to get some waders today but by the time I got there it was to late .
  25. Yes it is . I think I have managd a couple of photos
