    Thanks for the replies. I've got terminal volt readings of 10.8v to 11.4v but Ah as low as 39 for 110Ah batteries. I'm going to try the new battery in parallel trick with a decent charger, but i'm thinking that this could be an expensive lesson learn't.

    Hi Everybody Happy new year I'm helping my brother-in-law build a narrow boat from scratch, this project has taken about 3 years up to now. The batteries were bought about 2 years ago when the engine was installed and hav'nt been used or charged since. We are now having trouble charging them with the inverter/charger. Any suggestions please? Frank

    Thanks for the reply. Did you find out what caused it to blow up. I noticed you had an issue with flat batteries. My batteries are over 12 mths old and very flat. They've sent me a new panel and if duff batteries caused the problem I don't want the same thing to happen.

    Hello kendo I have been reading your post on your Mastervolt combi with interest and wondered what the conclusion was. I have rcently installed a mass combi 1200 and after being switched on charge for the first time and left for three hours have the same problem all leds light up after start up and nothing working. I have sent it back to Aquafax and it has been sent on to Holland.
