We had to go into tattenhall marina for breakdown engineer very helpful & knowledgable, also let us stayover Night free of charge impressed with marina &service. Have you looked at church minstral marina new 2009 approx 3 miles from barbridge junction v impresed with this marina as well contact is robert or sue

I have had the same problem on leaking chimmneys, & raised the question approx 1 year ago & got some good replies from fellow boaters. Refer to forum & type in MUCKY OLD FLUES this may help

Ilive near lower scottish canals ie bowling (near glasgow to Edinburgh via Falkirk wheel the canals are not a patch on english canals locks you cannot operate yourself,must book inadvance for lock keepers to be present. service facilities vitually non existent, 1 marina partly developed.live aboard areas 2 possible Kilsyth (near marina) or Ratho nr Edinburgh. Total cruising from one end to other 50 miles ie 4/5 days travelling.

i enquire to see if anybody can help We are a syndicate who have a share boat & @ present the front bow is plain the syndicate wish to have the name of the boat painted ,letters shadowed .& some harliquin type @ the end of the name some harliquin side of name 10 name letters some harliquin either side of name. Could anyone advise please advise a indicitive price for doing this type of sign writing / painting.

I read with interest the article in q & a of canal boat mag on Mucky old flues ( FEB 2012 ),Page 85 & we have the same problem of condensation/tar sepping between outer joints on to the roof.
