Hi, Just to let people know of a goodwill article I spotted on our insurers site to help you avoid boat insurance content claims. Doesn't deal with accidental damage side of things but rather malicious intent but useful nonetheless; https://www.merciamarine.co.uk/boat_information/boat_security_recommendations_article.aspx Strangely though I didn't even realise Mercia did contents insurance as it is available only via the phone... a bit antiquated in this day and age?! Nevertheless same as widebeamboy it was actually just quite a bit cheaper (nearly £100) to just add my narrowboat contents items and generator onto my home insurance policy (I'm with the lot from confused so they are fair cheap anyway). Appreciate that doesn't help liveaboarders but I guess will help many.
