Hi, my name is Daniel Hutchinson.

I have a keen interest in all things mechanical as well as boats, engines and canals spend much of my spare time working or boating on a number of narrowboats including our own; EmilyAnne, a dutch barge style steam narrowboat build in 1991 by my Grandfather.

I also own and maintain an Westfield kitcar with which I compete nationally in Autotest and Autosolo events, Mountain bike frequently, Sail, and am a founder member of the YWBS who work to network with others and to promote canals and working boats to the younger generations.

Having been promoted from Member to Moderator and then Assistant Administrator, I acquired ownership of CanalWorld forums from the sites founder Jon Belcher in 2009. Since then I have thought to continue the great work that Jon did and maintain the forum as the great resource that is has begun, developing and improving it as required.
