  4. If you want, I have a stash of really good brand new 2 / 2.5m ish USB extensions, all brand new in packet (got about 60 of them sitting around). Id be happy to post you one for free if you wanted, to give it a try?
  5. I assume you are paying for the extra shadow to be printed as a single layer? If it was layered up I reckon the price would be half of that if not less!
  6. I can supply LED spotlamps, in 24 & 27W all the way up to 72W (get a bit pricey though). The 24W pull 2 amps each and are five times brighter than 55W halogen lamps at half the power drain. Same as HERE, although I am happy to supply and post to any marina or other local place for you. The 24W are very thin at under an inch, with the 27W being the same housing, just 50% thicker again for the extra heatsink. They are solid aluminium and glass and really take a beating. I can happily pressure wash mine without them breaking. They are happy working on 9v-30v. These are a pair of 24W's showing the beam and range. Yours for just under £30each, or around £55 for a pair (offhand).

  15. Ive got one of the Cambridge Audio rigs, exactly as Westyman describes, and they are a great unit, and surprisingly powerful. the cube speakers are approx 3" and can be wall mounted or stand mounted, not sure on the transformer voltage though. Can take a look if needed. Dunc
  16. Can reccomend these http://www.minirigs.co.uk/. As made by a member on speakerplans, the feedback has been incredible on them. saving up to get some myself.
  17. Nice but too close to the other houses by the looks of things.
  18. TBH Id just be tempted to run a CarPC. Any old computer will run off a 12v ATX supply, and you can have all of your media on the hard disk. run a TV tuner off that, and thats your radio and TV sorted, and then for internet then a 3G USB stick, or tether your phone in. Use a monitor screen that has a 12v wall wart (many of the more slimline screens do) and just adapt the power cable. From there you can use whatever sound system you fancy. theres lots of info on 12v speaker systems available at another forum I frequent. http://forum.speakerplans.com/12v-powered-systems_forum5.html. I know that this may be too advanced for many people but for the more tech savvy, it may just be the ideal solution.
  19. Sounds like fun!. Ive always wondered what it would be like to have an NB and work in the ents industry, what with all the wierd hours n that.
  20. Nice to know there is other boaty sound engineers out there!! Howdy!. Ive always found it interesting what technology goes into narrowboats. Being a computer enthusiast / general geek myself, the ability to have all the mod cons of tech (not neccessarily living accom) is a major bonus!. Where abouts are you moored? Dunc
