Industrial Historian, who has compiled books  and articles on Canal, Railway and Industry subjects.

Educated at Handsworth Grammar School and Liverpool University (BSc Biochemistry)

Worked for British Railways 1972-1999, then employed at NEC 2001 to present.

The interim years were spent in developing Heartland Press for transport publications. In recent times this is more of a research occupation and remains my log on name for Canal World and other history forum sites

Railway & Canal Historical Society West Midlands Group Secretary 1996-2009, photographic officer 2009-2016, Modern Transport Group coordinator 2009 - date and am now in the progress of setting up an infrastructure group
