I have a 57 foot narrow boat with a water lubricated propeller shaft gland. The water is supplied via a tube from the weed hatch to the gland. The pipe in the weed hatch is above the water line and relies totally on water sprayed up by the propeller. It has now started to squeal in reverse only. Has anyone else come across this problem?

Hello everyone, I have an Isuzu Marine 38HP engine on my Narrowboat. When the engine is on tick over and I switch my 2.5 KW invertor on the engine tone changes from a continuous note to every 5 secs it seems to miss and then pick up. Has anyone had a similar experience.

Good Morning, I am a new member who is going to buy a canal boat in the spring (2011) and would like to discuss with someone the pro's and con's of a wide beam. I want a wide beam but my wife is not sure. Apart from the obvious problem of not being able to get from the South system to the North system are there any other things to look out for.
