Laurie Posted October 9, 2005 Report Posted October 9, 2005 I'm hoping to undertake extended/continuous cruising, but need to see a GP regularly (monthly) to get a prescription. Does anyone have any experience of trying to do this and how co-operative medics are? Particularly when you're flitting about the country not seeing the same one twice. Thanks L

Thanks L Hi Laurie Why every month, you can get a prescription for up to 3 months, unless there is a need for tests etc.. Have a chat with your GP, I am sure he will be pleased to help. Brother-in-law took 3 months abroad with him and I have a regular prescription for 3 months. And to the forum
John Orentas Posted October 9, 2005 Report Posted October 9, 2005 Hi Laurie. And welcome again, yes I am sure your present doctor will be able to sort that out for you. In part with a 'To whom it may concern letter'. Patients records are on a central computer these days, or should be. Hope you get sorted out.
