I have not yet found a definitive list of which motor boats were fitted with Petter PD2's by 'British Waterways', but I have carried out just a little research.

G.U.C.C.Co. Ltd. motors fitted with Petter PD2 by 'British Waterways' = 68

G.U.C.C.Co. Ltd. motors possibly fitted with Petter PD2 by 'British Waterways' = 6 (this means an absolute maximum of 74 and I can account for all others which remained National)

G.U.C.C.Co. Ltd. motors definitely not fitted with Petter PD2 by 'British Waterways' = 72 (includes all former G.U.C.C.Co. Ltd. motors nationalised in 1948)

Some sources say that at least some of the Harbourmaster (? - I may be getting my names mixed up!) drives fitted to the River class motors had the Petter PD2, and what you can see in some of the pictures seems to support that.

However other sources claim a 4 cylinder engine, so I'm not sure if more than one type of engine was used?

There is a Bantock for sale currently at Great Heywood Boat Sales with a pd2

I'm happy to be corrected but it doesn't to me look like anything I have ever previously seen described as a Bantock boat.

(Or even a Bantok boat which is how the details actually spell it!)

Yes, instantly recognisable with the distinctive,  low curved bow, NOT :P

Perhaps it is a poor copy of a Graham Reeves bow?

I have deliberately not included these two motors in my figures in the earlier post :captain:
