mark99
Our CaRT renewal is up 30th June. Sometime in mid summer I hope to be off CaRT waters and go to another nav authority. Not sure to renew for 6 months or 12 months with CaRT and seek a refund when the evacuation is complete. Any expert advice appreciated.

croftie
3 month ones are not refundable if you move early and 3 or 6 month ones are more expensive per month than 12 month ones. If you turn a 12 month one in early there is a £30 admin fee. Doing a few quick calcs which depend on the boat length turning in a 12 month one after 2 months 30 days (ie before the end of month) it will cost you very similar to taking out a 3 month one. If you quit after 1 month 30 days then a 12 month one should be the lowest cost to you.
GUMPY
Licence refunds on 12 month licences are, provided its not changed, calculated at 1/10 of licence cost per month used rather than 1/12.
