You sure it's not a setting you have for the forum? On my phone it shows as 11/05/2017 which was British the last time I looked. 

Shows as 05/11/2017 on my phone.  I can't immediately see where to change this setting?

On an iPhone it's Settings-->General-->Language & Region

I can't see any forum settings that could affect it but maybe someone knows if there is one?

I have a Samsung Galaxy A3. Set to English (UK) language and keyboard. I can't see a setting for date format, but as other apps display the date correctly I asssume this is a forum setting.
