They are the best bit of kit you can fit on a boat. One dose of diesel so you can move, charge your batteries and do all domestic powered stuff like any size washing machine with ease in one hit. This is my second boat with one and a major part of why I bought this boat.

They do go wrong though?......Would prefer 2 Chunky Alternators and a 3 Kilowatt Inverter

Everything goes wrong eventualy. Neither of mine have ever gone wrong :wacko: the trouble with a big verter is that it takes so moocho power fromt talternators that at the end of a two hour cruise with washer on batteries are still flat whereas with travel power everything is done and batts are charged. Everyone knows cassette bogs are best ;)
