zenataomm
3 weeks to remove Bardney swing bridge? What are they dismantling it with, a Swiss Army knife?
pearley
Ingress they would struggle to get any sort of road crane there to just lift it off or truck to take it away so I imagine it will be a workboat with Hiab and dismantle it piecemeal. Though I don't really know why they don't just let it to continue mouldering away. Or are they going to replace it?
Naughty Cal
No need for it anymore. The farmer doesn't need access across the lock. There are some notices attached to it from well before we started boating in 2008 when they were originally going to remove it! Hopefully they will actually get rid of it this time. It does tend to get in our way as we go down the lock as we use the port side of the boat.
